Approximately forty club members attended the Annual Christmas Social in Pier 1 Donegal Town last Friday night. It was a most enjoyable occasion .Thanks to the social committee for organization and apologies that the club camera was not working - that’s the PRO’s excuse.

29 June 2010 - Waterbus Fund Raiser

On Sunday week last club members and supporters enjoyed an evening of music, food and craic as they ventured on an evening cruise around Donegal Bay. Reports indicate that it was a most enjoyable and well organized social venture. Thanks to all who supported, to Brian O’Sullivan, musician and entertainer, the management of the waterbus and to club chairman Paul O’Gara who organizational work behind the scenes.

18 May 2010 - Baby Isobel

Congratulations to club athletes Julie and Brian McMullin on the recent birth of their baby daughter Isobel and to Eva, Ronan and Katie who now have a new baby sister. Good to report that mother and daughter are home and doing fine.

Congratulations and best wishes from all at Tír Chonaill Athletics Club to club athletes Shelley and Vinny on the recent birth of baby Anthony. Great to know that all are healthy and fit.

22 May 2009 - Baby Boy for Ramona and Canice

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate club athletes and main sponsor, Ramona and Canice Nicholas of Cara Pharmacy on the birth, this week, of their son Alex James. Congratulations and best wishes.

The club held a most successful and enjoyable awards evening for the younger athletes on Sunday Evening Last in the Central Hotel, Donegal Town. The evening began at 5.00pm with the awards ceremony, where many young athletes received awards of specially designed tee shirts and trophies to mark their achievements during the past year. Geraldine O’Connor was awarded the club coach of the year while Louise Harvey and Jarlath Ruane came away with the club athletes of the year. Everyone enjoyed the disco and food that followed and the evening ended at 8.30pm. more

The club held a very successful social evening in the Allingham Hotel, Bundoran on Saturday night last to celebrate the women’s team victory in the 'AAI National Track and Field League Final' and qualification for Europe next season. more

14 July 2008 -

Club Athlete and UK Ironman Triathlete, Tony Cummins celebrated a huge milestone recently with a really big birthday. A cake was presented to Tony after the 100k fundraiser on Saturday last, in Brennan’s Bar, Bundoran, with five “sexy” candles alight on top. There was some reference to, “Driving Miss Daisy”. Let’s say no more... but we do know Tony! Photo shows Birthday boy Tony with cake and “sexy” candles.

There was a surprise birthday celebration for Bernie McNeely in McGinley's Bar after training on Boxing Day. A large number of fellow athletes and friends gathered inside for the event. The hot food and beverages were especially welcome after the long run at Castle Caldwell. A good time was had by all.

27 Dec 2007 - Christmas Social

The club had their Christmas party night out on Friday 21 December in the Allingham Hotel, Bundoran and there was a large attendance from the club, with partners, boyfriends and girlfriends also attending. It was a great night and a big thank you to Elizabeth, Peter and the staff of the Hotel for a most enjoyable night. View Pics
