Ulster Juvenile Indoor Championships, Magherafelt

On Saturday, club coaches and supporters were successfully involved in Part 2 of the 'Ulster Juvenile Indoor Championships' in Magherafelt and the 'Scottish Indoor U15/17/20 Indoor Championships' in the Kelvin Hall Glasgow.

 

In the spacious Meadowbank Indoor Arena in Magherafelt, the most spacious Indoor arena in Europe, the following club athletes added to the medal haul of Tir Chonaill Athletes at provincial level this season, Tomas McGowan 1st U13 Shot 11.32m;

Louise Harvey 1st U19 60m Hurdles;

Mark McGuinness 2nd U17 1,500m;

Orla Coughlan 3rd U12 Long Jump;

Elish McGovern 1st U12 Shot Putt;

David Woods, 3rd U12 Shot Putt;

U12 Girls 4 x 100m Relay 1st ;

U14 Girls Relay team 3rd.

 

In addition to the medal winners a number of other club athletes had exceptional performances. Mary Flora Scott in the U12 600m with a great run finished 4th. When the list of podium finishes above is added to the following exceptional performances two weeks ago in the Odyssey at Part 1 of the Ulster indoors then all including coaches must take a deserved bow and congratulations.

1st U16 Girls 60m Hurdles Emma Brady;

1st U17 Boys 800m Karl Griffin;

1st U15 Girls 4 x 200m Relay,

1st U16 Girls 4 x 200m Relay.
