County Athletics Board 2009 Presentation Night at the Finn Valley Centre

The County Donegal Athletics Awards night, held in the Finn Valley Centre attracted a large and appreciative audience from all ten clubs in the county. Congratulations to all awardees - all of whom achieved at the very highest levels of National and International athletics during 2009.
Tir Chonaill's Mary McLoone, was the deserving winner of overall female of the year and had the following achievements to her credit - represented Ireland at numerous International events including the Europa Cup, medal winner at both indoor and outdoor National Championships in Long Jump, Triple Jump and 100m Hurdles.
Each club had two juvenile athletes honoured. Tír Chonaill's Louise Harvey, finished 3rd in the Celtic International U18 300m in Wales and was a National Gold medal winner in 100mHurdles and 300m Hurdles outdoor and 60mHurdles Indoors. Karl Griffin in the 800m won the Celtic International Under 15 and was crowned National outdoor champion and silver medal winner in the Irish schools and Indoor 800m.
