New Club 'Training/Competition Facility' at the Abbey Vocational School
The new Club 'Training/Competition Facility' at the Abbey Vocational School is nearing completion. The 400 metres walking/jogging/running track plus synthetic surfaces for sprinting, hurdling, long Jump, high jump, triple jump, pole vault and the throwing circles/cages for shotput, discus and hammer throwing, makes this new development very exciting and one that gives Tír Chonaill AC much to be proud off as we move forward in encouraging and coaching all aspects of athletics. Club members Davy Doherty and Paul O'Gara, who are two of the prime movers behind the development, visited the site recently and inspected the progress.
