Donegal Town Group Complete Women’s Dublin Mini Marathon 2008
The 2008 women’s Dublin Mini Marathon attracted an entry of over 47,000 runners, joggers and walkers to a sun drenched Dublin on Bank Holiday Monday.
Nineteen local women joined the largest women’s mass participation event in the world and came home very happy with their individual and overall performances. The group had been preparing for this race for the last four months and had group and individually trained for the big occasion, the first competitive race for many of the participants.
The training group, led by Mary Doherty also ran a very successful sponsorship drive for the new sports development at the Abbey Vocational School. Congratulations to all.
